Corporate Social Responsibility
Driving long-term social impact
Global developments, such as climate change, poverty, and increasing inequality, are serious issues that all stakeholders in the worldwide economy must face. At SAP, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is part of our holistic sustainability framework. We put its purpose into action by helping the world run better and improving people’s lives with sustainability at the core. The SAP Corporate Social Responsibility (SAP CSR) team focuses on three pillars: accelerating social business, building future skills, and collaborating for sustainability.

Accelerating social business
Social enterprises are the catalysts for positive change, serving the world’s most vulnerable people and ecosystems. For more than a decade, SAP CSR has invested in the growth of this sector by providing on-site and virtual pro bono consulting programs to our 100,000 employees. This supports social enterprises on their journey to run better and become corporate-ready for supply chain integration. By fostering the social procurement movement, SAP enables social enterprises to access new B2B markets.
Buy social: SAP introduces 5 & 5 by ‘25
Social procurement is a powerful lever any organization can activate to deliver immediate social impact. By directing procurement spend to diverse and social-enterprise suppliers, organizations fulfill their business needs with quality goods and services and make a positive collective impact on the societies we operate in.
What is 5 & 5 by ‘25?
SAP aims to direct 5% of addressable procurement spend to social enterprises and to diverse suppliers by 2025. This initiative, named 5 & 5 by ‘25, invites organizations around the world to join SAP in buying more goods and services from purposeful suppliers.
If you would like to sign up to participate in 5 & 5 by '25, please contact our team or learn more about our partners below.

TRANSFORM Support Hub
Together with MovingWorlds, TRANSFORM, and Unilever, SAP has launched the TRANSFORM Support Hub.
This is a collaborative ecosystem aimed at building capacity for social enterprises seeking to enter and grow within corporate supply chains. The TRANSFORM Support Hub is the global one-stop online shop for nonfinancial support of social enterprises, bringing together the best offerings available from the public, private, and social sectors to support social entrepreneurs globally.
The TRANSFORM Support Hub will play a critical role in 5 & 5 by ‘25. It will also support other organizations' social procurement commitments, such as Unilever's US$1 billion diverse spend commitment and Google's US$2.5 billion diverse spend commitment, creating and connecting a pipeline of corporate-ready social enterprises to procurement professionals globally. The TRANSFORM Support Hub will go beyond achieving social procurement spend targets to help organizations:
- Achieve their ESG goals by engaging employees in what matters most to them
- Tap into the US$500 billion opportunity for impact and more resilient supply chains across corporations, professionals, social enterprises, and impact investment firms
