To help its consultants work smarter, deliver projects faster, and drive greater impact for clients, it explored the conversational AI features offered by the SAP Joule for Consultants solution.
The consulting solution includes a generative AI foundation built on large language models trained on structured knowledge from over 200,000 pages of SAP product documentation and learning resources. Incorporating over two terabytes of expertly curated SAP knowledge content, the solution delivers expert guidance that’s grounded in accuracy, relevance, and contextual understanding.
To test the capabilities of SAP Joule for Consultants to answer questions on implementation methodologies and best practices and provide guidance on custom code and development recommendations, ABeam Consulting configured the solution for 19 use cases.
Boosting consultant productivity using a centralized knowledge engine
Using SAP Joule for Consultants, ABeam Consulting gained a major uplift in its consulting team’s productivity across all aspects of project implementation and post go-live maintenance phases in its 19 use cases. Accounting for the workloads of both experienced and younger consultants, the company saw the efforts of consultants reduced by 77% in these 19 use cases.
Arata Nishii, senior expert at ABeam Consulting, explains that there were two reasons for this success: “First, junior consultants with limited experience in SAP projects used the consulting solution to guide their way. Naturally, junior members lack expertise, so research takes longer. Instead of requiring senior consultants to review their work, they could move ahead after a review by the consulting solution. Second, experienced and senior consultants used the solution to cover gaps in areas of expertise outside their specialist domains. This was most impactful during research, where SAP Joule for Consultants immediately provided verification on matters where we needed assurance.”

Focusing on strategic, value-adding outputs enabled by AI
